Meineke Car Care Bowl players and coaches brought the game indoors recently as they paid a special visit to Levine Children’s Hospital. Meineke raised $55,000 in 2006 for children in our community and will present the check to Levine Children’s Hospital during halftime of the 2006 Meineke Car Care Bowl on Saturday, December 30 at Bank of America Stadium.
Several players from Boston College and the United States Naval Academy, along with their coaches, huddled with young patients in the playrooms. Children received autographed footballs, team posters and goodie bags with all sorts of prizes. Players also made “sideline” visits to the bedsides of children who are unable to leave their rooms.
