Starting at 12-noon on May 21, drums will be beating for 29 consecutive hours at the 5th annual drumSTRONG™. Musicians, families, neighbors, cancer patients, and survivors will gather at Misty Meadows Farm in Weddington to promote cancer awareness, education, support, and funding for research in partnership with Levine Children’s Hospital.
DrumSTRONG™ is the signature event of DrumsForCures, Inc., a non-profit organization that has teamed up with Levine Children’s Hospital (LCH) to support the hospital’s pediatric cancer research programs. DrumsForCures, Inc. is an authorized fundraising partner and a founding member of the Carolinas Kids Cancer Research Coalition, supporting phase I and phase II clinical trials at LCH.
Rain or shine, join professional and amateur percussionists of all ages in the drum circle for this special event aimed to help “beat” cancer. Whether you bring your own drum, shake a maraca, or beat on a bucket, there is something for everyone! Be sure to check out the KidZone, yoga-thon, health expo, and main stage performers throughout the weekend. Help keep the beat going for LCH cancer programs by forming a team and asking friends and family to sponsor you for each hour you drum!
