Lisa R. Klein, M.D. is the newest member of Sanger Heart and Vascular Institute pediatric cardiology team. In September 2008 Dr. Klein joined our Hickory Office after sixteen years in Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Klein worked in private practice as a Pediatric Cardiologist for Pediatric Cardiology Associates and also served as Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Louisville. Dr. Klein's experience includes expertise in congenital heart defects, congestive heart failure, heart murmurs, fetal echocardiography, and preventive cardiology.
Dr. Klein graduated from Brown University in Rhode Island and received her medical degree from the SUNY Health Sciences Center at Syracuse in Syracuse NY. She completed her internship at Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans, LA and her residency program at the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center. Following her residency, she pursued a fellowship at the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center in the Division of Pediatric Cardiology.
