Levine Children's Hospital and EpiCentre are teaming up and the result is a most rewarding reason to gather with friends at uptown's premier nightspot. Celebrate for Kids' Sake will allow the Charlotte community to contribute to a good cause, while enjoying a night(s) on the town; with three opportunities to give over the coming week.
Staff members from Levine Children's Hospital will be on hand at EpiCentre for Alive After Five on Thursday, June 3 for a text-to-give campaign. Alive After Five attendees are encouraged to donate $5 by texting "Levine" to 90999. Anyone who makes a text donation will be eligible to win prizes given away at various times throughout Alive After Five.
The following night, June 4, is a special Celebrate for Kids' Sake night at EpiCentre, where visitors will have the opportunity to purchase a wristband that will provide entry to BlackFinn, Suite, Whisky River, StrikeCity, Mez and Kazba for just $5. Wristbands will be sold at a special booth on the main floor at EpiCentre and at the door of each venue. Wristbands are also available by providing proof of a text donation on Friday, June 4. Text donations sent Thursday, June 3, during Alive After Five are not valid to obtain a wristband for June 4. All proceeds from wristband sales Friday will go to Levine Children's Hospital.
It all culminates with the Prelude to the Dream viewing party on Wednesday, June 9 at StrikeCity. This year's race features over a dozen NASCAR drivers, including Carl Edwards, Jeff Gordon, Denny Hamlin Kasey Kahne and Tony Stewart. Levine Children's Hospital will be represented by a team comprised of Marcos Ambrose, Dave Blaney, Kyle Busch, Jimmie Johnson, Matt Kenseth, Travis Pastrana and David Reutimann.
The viewing party begins at 6 p.m. with a countdown special, which will air on SPEED at 6 p.m., with the Prelude to the Dream race beginning at 7 p.m. A portion of all sales Wednesday night, June 9, at StrikeCity will go to Levine Children's Hospital.
