More than 100 Microsoft employees recently participated in the Microsoft Day of Caring at Levine Children's Hospital. Led by CHS Environmental Services Team Leaders, the employees suited up for a day of preparing and cleaning 10 of the 12 floors of the new hospital. Thanks to Microsoft the new hospital will be ready for the patients and families that will soon occupy it after the grand opening on Oct. 20.
The spirit of the Microsoft team, and the day, belonged to the Witherspoon Family. Last year, Jenna Witherspoon, the daughter of Microsoft employee Mike Witherspoon, lost her battle with cancer. Today, her legacy continues to live on. Thanks to support from Microsoft and others in the community, a room in the new hospital will be named in honor of Jenna.
A big thanks to Microsoft for continuing to honor Jenna's memory and for caring for kids!
