Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation

The inpatient pediatric rehabilitation services are housed within Levine Children's Hospital. Our inpatient team consists of: board certified pediatric rehabilitation physicians, rehabilitation certified nurses, pediatric occupational therapists, speech therapists, recreational therapists, pediatric neuropsychologists, a cognitive education specialized school teacher, child life specialists, and nutrition experts. As part of our team working with pediatric/adolescent patients in LCH, we work with children and their families during their early stages of recovery following an acute illness or injury.

Outpatient pediatric rehabilitation services are provided by our specially trained physicians who provide comprehensive rehabilitation evaluation and assessments of children with neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, and neurological impairment.

Our board certified pediatric rehabilitation physicians are available for physical medicine and rehabilitation consults as well.

  • Pediatric nutritionist to coordinate special needs diets and optimize metabolic requirements to maximize recovery and optimize nutrition
  • Recreation therapist with adaptive sports certification on staff Adaptive sports experts incorporate play into therapy sessions with children and adolescents in the rehabilitation center.
