Groundbreaking

When we broke ground on Sept. 14, 2004, we were joined by hundreds of people including community leaders, pediatric patients and their families and other invited guests. Among the participants in the ceremonies were four patients of The Children's Hospital at Carolinas Medical Center; key benefactors Sandra and Leon Levine; Carolinas Medical Center president Suzanne Freeman; and Michael Tarwater, president and CEO of Carolinas HealthCare System.
