Cheryl Courtlandt, MD joined the Department of Pediatrics at Carolinas Medical Center as a General Pediatrician in 1998. She received her medical degree from Rutgers University and then completed her internship and residency at Albert Einstein-Montefiore Medical Center. After completing her residency, Dr. Courtlandt spent a year as Chief Resident then moved to the Bellevue Hospital Center to become at attending physician in the department of pediatrics. During her time at Bellevue Hospital Center, she was the Assistant Medical Director of the Pediatric Resource Center and the Director for the Pediatric Outreach for Deaf Patients Program. Presently, Dr. Courtlandt is the Medical Director of the Pediatric Asthma Program at Levine Children's Hospital as well as the Asthma Consultant to School Nurses through the Mecklenburg Health Department. She is Co-Director for the Center for Advancing Pediatric Excellence at Levine Children's Hospital, a Physician Mentor for Pediatric Quality and a member of the Credentialing Committee at Carolinas Medical Center. As a Resident Advisor for the Department of Pediatrics, Dr. Courtlandt is involved in all aspects of resident training and is the recipient of the J.C. Parke Teaching Award for Excellence in Resident Teaching.
