Dr. David Fisher joined the Division of Neonatology in the Department of Pediatrics at Carolinas Medical Center in July 1998. In August 2004 Dr. Fisher was appointed as the Director of Neonatology for Carolinas HealthCare System Neonatal Services. He is also the Chairman of the Perinatal Quality Assurance Committee and the Director of the Neonatal Database Systems for Carolinas HealthCare.
Dr. Fisher graduated from the College of William and Mary and received his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia. He completed his internship and residency at the Medical College of Virginia followed by a Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship at the University of Connecticut Health Center. Dr. Fisher has a special interest in neonatal pulmonary disease.
