Sarah Gall, M.D. joined the Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Center in July, 2008. She is board certified in Pediatrics. Dr. Gall completed her Fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Her area of research was a very rare, and generally fatal, tumor called Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumor. With the aid of microarray technology and high-throughput drug screening on a cell line created in Japan, she was able to define further the biology of this cancer and possible future treatments. Another area of focus during Dr. Gall's tenure at Sloan-Kettering, was pediatric pain and palliative care. She plans on building upon that interest in her current position at Levine Children's Hospital.
For the year prior to joining Levine Children's Hospital, Dr. Gall worked in an inner-city hospital in the Bronx. She enjoyed working with an underserved, primarily immigrant community, focusing on disorders of red cells.
Dr. Gall was born in Venezuela and is fluent in both Spanish and Portuguese.
