David R. Hufford, Jr., MD joined Levine Children's Hospital in August 2008. Dr. Hufford is the new Director of Pulmonary Medicine for the Department of Pediatrics. Prior to joining Levine Children's Hospital, Dr. Hufford served as Associate Director of Pediatric Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Toledo Children's Hospital. He was also the Associate Director of the Infant Monitor Program. Dr. Hufford served for two years as President of the Medical Staff at the Toledo Children's Hospital. He was also active in the American Lung Association of Northwest Ohio. Dr. Hufford has published 24 papers and has been an active member in numerous clinical trials. His research interests are in the area of cystic fibrosis, sleep apnea and its relationship to sudden infant death syndrome, chronic lung disease, and the role of flexible fiberoptic bronchoscopy in the diagnosis and management of gastroesophageal reflux.
