The Progressive Care Floor, made possible by Julie and Howard Levine, offers care for children who need special attention but who don't require intensive care. A highly controlled and specialized environment with a low patient-to-nurse ratio, this floor includes 20 progressive care beds and four observation beds. Specifically designed to address the needs of children using specialized equipment, the Progressive Care Floor accommodates children who would otherwise remain confined to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Consistent with the family-centered emphasis of the hospital, large family areas, a child playroom and conference and consultation areas are included on this floor.
